About Applebys and Pairs
Hello, and thank you for visiting. This is the first time I have tried to set
up a site, so any constructive observations would be very welcome.
The tree is large and wide. It encompasses not only my ancestry, but also
that of my husband and my son in law. The research has taken since 1978 and - of
course - is still unfinished! The main English counties covered include Cheshire,
Cornwall, Dorset, Durham, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Lancashire, Northumberland,
Yorkshire and Wiltshire. In Scotland : Berwickshire, Dumfries, Kircudbright,
Roxburghshire, and Midlothian. Interests in Ireland are presently centred on County
Cork. There has been a recent, brief forray into Wales. Other countries include
France, and pre-conquest Europe. We can both trace our families back to William the
Conqueror (the man, not the era!) and beyond.
I hope you find a connection, of which I will be delighted to hear more.
Don't forget to send me your observations and comments.
I've included some useful links, and also one to my cousin, Ron Barnett's,
family site - his father and my mother were siblings. There is also a link to
the Baron family tree which connects to mine through the HARDMAN and WALL lines.
Regards
Ruth
